TRACY ET CIE SAUVIGNON BLANC LES MARNES

Tasting notes:

Bright, Gold with some green highlights The first nose is fresh, revealing hawthorn and citrus hints. The palate is lively offering a beautiful texture with a nice concentration. With a little aeration, it opens with gourmet notes of exotic fruits (mango, passion fruit, lychee) then lime which underlines the pleasant freshness of this Sauvignon. The finish is clean, delicately mineral.  

About the wine:

Careful harvesting at a sustained pace in order to capitalize on maximum freshness and acidity. Pickers will make several passes on the vineyards to pick selected grapes at the correct maturity and whole bucnh sorting before a final sorting on on arrival at the winery. Slow and gentle presses of several hours then fermentation in stainless steel and cement tanks before a period of aging on fine lees before bottling.  

About the producer:

Château de Tracy represents one of the oldest wineres in Pouilly-Fumé, in the center of Loire, operating for more than 600 years.  

In 2018 a new project was created; Tracy et Cie aiming to share their strong attachment to a certain idea of the wine, following prerequisites such as : faithful identity wines, green agriculture, terroir driven approach, handcrafted & confidential production

Attracted for many years by the terroir of Menetou Salon, they started to developed 3 new wines called Madame des Fontaynes "Les Marnes" , selected exclusively among some of very qualitative terroirs (Kimmeridgian marls, vineyard between 20 to 40 years old). Such terroirs are particularly adapted to express a maximum of finesse, accuracy and identity.
