Tasting Notes:
This is a dry pale pink rosé, similar in style to a provence rosé. Soft red berry fruits, strawberry and raspberry flavours are supported by deliciously fresh acidity.
About the wine:
Fruit is sourced from vineyeards in the Roussillon located near the southern edge of the St Chinian. The grapes are checked throughout August, in order to choose the right day to harvest. Once harvested, the grapes undergo a skin-contact maceration to extract some colour from the skin. Then, the juice, is collected after a delicate pressing and fermented at a low temperature in stainless steel.
About the producer:
Mont Rocher wines are carefully chosen from small parcels of vines in the south of France with the emphasis on producing wines showing the true character of the terroir and style indigenous grape varieties.
Food match:
Tapenade or a salade Niçoise, a paella or grilled chicken, fish or lamb with herbs.
