The Longbeach Sauvignon Blanc is a clear, light lemon yellow colour with a green tint.
The nose and palate is delightful. Sitting somewhere between the rich fruits of a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and the more elegant French Sauvignon Blanc, this South African example shows notes of lemon flesh, lime, gooseberry, green apple and a touch of peach and cut grass. The acidity is crisp and refreshing and the finish long and lingering.
About the wine:
The Longbeach Sauvignon Blanc grapes come a selection of vineyards in the Western Cape wine region. After harvest, the grapes undergo fermentation in temperature controlled stainless steel vats before bottling to preserve the freshness of the fruits.
