Tasting notes:

Citrus and brine with subtle floral hints. Fresh saline nuances persist against a long structured finish

About the wine:

The grapes come from a selection of vineyards around the region, the Macebau and Grenache Gris from vines of between 60 and 70 years old, the Muscat from 27 year old vines.

The grapes are carefully hand harvested, with an initial quality selection in the vineyard. After collecting, the grapes are basket pressed and cold settled before a spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel.

The wine is aged in stainless steel and barrel for 6 months before bottling with no fining.

The wine is certified organic and biodynamic.

About the producer:

Inspired by the majesty of the old vines and the vast range of grape varieties, soils, climate and terrain; Les Clos Perdus was established in 2003 by Paul Old, Faith Wilson and Sturart Nix with 1.5 hectares of vines.

Now their holdings have increased to 20 hectares of organic and bodynamic vines.
