Tasting notes:
The Domaine de Montauberon rosé is a delightful salmon orange colour with a very slight hint of darker pink in there.
The nose is a wonderful mix of red berries, candied strawberry, white flower blossom and a slight leafy note. The palate is a continuation of the nose, with crisp acidity and sweeter red berries and raspberry on the mid palate, with a lovely smooth creamy texture.
About the wine:
The Domaine de Montauberon has a total of 110 Hectares of vines in the Cotes de Thongue region of France. The vinyard has good soil with a mix of stoney clay and limestone soils. The vineyard benefits from a typically dry and breezy Mediterranean climate.
About the producer:
The Domaine de Montauberon was once a royal estate and has belonged to the Sarret Family for thirteen generations. The Domaine was bought in March 1488 by Nicolas de Sarret who is the direct ancestor of the present owner.
