Tasting note:
Inspired by its Old World roots, this expressive Cabernet Sauvignon combines black and red fruits with a bright acidity. Refined tannins and a lush-textured palate thanks to barrel ageing.
About the wine:
Fruit was harvested on the 26th March, and fermented in cement tanks with regular pumpovers. The wine was moved to second and third-use French oak barrels for 12 months prior to bottling.
About the producer:
Achaval Ferrer was formed in 1998 by a group of Italian and Argentinian friends aiming to create world class Argentinian wines. To achieve this goal, the group sought out the best possible vineyard sites from which to source the grapes that could most perfectly express the varietal characteristics.
Food match.
The Cabernet Sauvignon would be lovely with roast beef, roast pork, dark meats and rich stews.
